Alloy information-
S32760 is having alloying elements like molybdenum of 3.6%, nickel of 7% and chromium of 25% along with the addition of nitrogen, copper, and tungsten. S32760 is highly alloyed super duplex SS with PERN for used at the tough atmospheres. This alloy is the super duplex with ferrite austenitic microstructure that is having ferrite of 40-50% in the annealed condition. The alloy microstructure is having high strength of ferrite grade that whilst retaining of corrosion resistance of an austenitic grade. Also, the alloy is having very well resistant into sour gas atmospheres against sulphide-stress corrosion cracking. It is popularly known for having high impact strength and is displaying no brittle transition. Even when welded it displays low impact strength. This alloy was developed initially as seawater resistant material and getting success to it, today it is used widely in ranges of industrial applications.
