General properties of grade
This alloy is stabilized having austenitic structures. It has chromium steel containing columbium which allows for the reduction of carbide precipitation range and intergranular corrosion. It is stabilized by the addition of chromium and tantalum offers higher creep and stress to rupture properties than any standard grades. It is ideal to use in the environments where IGC attacks are a concern.
The combination of columbium allows having excellent corrosion resistance even superior to standard grades. It is also available in higher carbon variant that shows improve high temperature and creeps properties.

About Stainless Steel 347 Seamless Tubes :
Stainless Steel 347 Seamless Tubes have similar resistance to general and overall corrosion. it is generally used for heavy welded parts which cannot be annealed and for application which is operated in temp between 800 deg F to 150 deg F. these alloy tubes are preferred over standard grade tubes and in other low temperatures.
These tubes are primarily used in high-temperature environments where resistance to sensitization is required. These tubes are susceptible to stress corrosion cracking. It exhibits oxidation resistance similar to all standard 18/8 austenitic SS grades. These tubes have great weldability out of all other standard alloy tubes. It can be welded by arc, fusion, and resistance welding process.
These tubes are annealed in the temp range between 1800 deg F to 2000 deg F. these tubes may be stress relieved with carbide precipitation range of 800 deg F to 1500 deg F without any further loss of properties. However, this alloy cannot be hardened by heat treatment operation.
