Manufacturing Process: Seamless pipes are manufactured by forcing the solid billets through a die to form a pipe without any weld whereas welded pipes are manufactured by bending plates and joining them through welding.

Strength and Durability: Seamless pipes have better strength and ductility because of their manufacturing process, while welded pipes have slightly lower strength at the weld zone.

Cost: Seamless pipes are relatively more costly than welded pipes because of the difficult production process involved in making them.

Surface Finish: Seamless pipes have a smooth, uniform finish, whereas welded pipes may have slight irregularities at the weld seams.

Pressure and Temperature Handling: These pipes are used in high-pressure and high-temperature conditions while the welded pipes can only be used in conditions with low to medium pressure.

Availability and Customization: Welded pipe can be ordered in larger diameters and greater lengths, making it more useful while seamless pipes are also limited in size but can perform better.
