SS 310 is a high chromium-nickel alloy. Minimum chromium content is 24%, and nickel is 19%. Other elements in the composition include carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. In terms of strength, it is broadly comparable to 304 grade. The difference is oxidation and corrosion resistance, especially at high temperatures, which is much better in 310.
