SS 310 is a high chromium-nickel alloy. Minimum chromium content is 24%, and nickel is 19%. Other elements in the composition include carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. In terms of strength, it is broadly comparable to 304 grade. The difference is oxidation and corrosion resistance, especially at high temperatures, which is much better in 310. Piyush Steel is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Stainless Steel pipe manufacturer and exporter from India. We have been in tubular metal products since 1983. The 310 Stainless Steel pipe is stocked in multiple types, dimensions, and end conditions. It can be supplied either as seamless or welded.
The SS 310 Pipe is manufactured as per ASTM A312/ A358 specifications. Dimensional requirements conform to ASTM, ASME and API standards. Seamless pipes are drawn from a single billet. This gives them tighter dimensional tolerances. Nominal bore sizes go from ½ inch to 16 inches. Welded pipes are available from ½ inch to 24 inches. Electric fusion-welded pipes run from 6 inches to 100 inches. Lengths come in single random, double random, or custom cut to order.
Table of Content
The ASTM A312 TP310 ERW pipe is available in round, square, rectangular, and hydraulic sections. The product range includes seamless, welded, EFW and ERW types. Each type has its own manufacturing process and tolerances. Stainless Steel DIN 1.4436 EFW pipes can be used for general corrosive service, high temperature and pressure conditions and for domestic service applications.
310 stainless steel tubing is regularly supplied to chemical plants, fertilizer units, petrochemical refineries, paper mills, sugar mills, oil and gas, breweries, cement plants, and fabrication units. High-temperature and corrosive environments are where this grade is most frequently specified. Piyush Steel supplies 310 stainless steel pipe to industrial buyers across the world. Standard sizes are stocked for faster dispatch.

SS 310 pipe is a chromium-nickel alloy with a minimum of 24% chromium and 19% nickel, used where higher oxidation resistance is needed compared to standard austenitic grades.
Yes. SS 310 can be used for continuous service temperatures to about 1100 °C. It has high chromium and nickel content. This gives it good resistance to scaling and oxidation at high temperatures.
Typical uses of 310 Stainless Steel tubing are chemical plants, fertilizer units, petrochemical refineries, oil and gas, paper mills, sugar mills, breweries and cement plants.
Yes. The high chromium content forms a stable oxide layer. This gives good resistance in oxidizing conditions. It is also effective in sulfurous and slightly reducing environments.
Yes, SS 310 pipes are used in high-pressure service conditions. Seamless pipes are generally preferred for these applications due to better pressure ratings and dimensional consistency.
SS 310 pipes are manufactured to ASTM A312 and A358 specifications. Dimensions follow ASTM, ASME, and API standards. Common material designations are UNS S31000 and DIN 1.4845.
